BRIAN THOMAS
Coordinator of Operations

Brian Thomas is in his first season as the coordinator of operations for the Ole Miss softball team. In his role, Thomas is responsible for the day-to-day office operations of the softball program. His duties include assisting with the Rebels’ camps throughout the year, team travel and equipment operations.

Thomas came to Oxford from Conference USA member Florida Atlantic, where he served as the director of operations for the Owl baseball team for two years while earning his master’s degree in higher education leadership.

Prior to his time with the FAU baseball program, Thomas was the varsity pitching coach at Gainesville High School in Gainesville, Florida. During his year with the Purple Hurricanes, the program earned their best season in 10 years with a 19-6 record. He handled all facets of the pitching staff, including throwing and conditioning as well as the players' developmental needs.

He also served one summer as pitching coach for the Richmond Jazz of the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League. There, he was the team's first base coach. The year prior, Thomas began his coaching career as the pitching coach at Oak Hill High School, also in Gainesville.

Thomas graduated from and played for Santa Fe High School in Alachua, Florida. Four times he earned all-area honors, eventually going on to play at St. Johns River State College. There, he was a member of the FCSAA All-Academic Team and earned the Mid-Florida Conference Scholar-Athlete Award.

After earning his associate of arts at St. Johns River State, Thomas moved on to the University of Florida, graduating cum laude in 2016 with his bachelor of science degree in food and resource economics, specializing in agribusiness marketing and management. Thomas and his girlfriend, Caroline, live with their golden doodle, Ollie, in Oxford.

ALLISON RAGER
Graduate Manager

Allison Rager is in her first season as a graduate manager at Ole Miss, joining head coach Jamie Trachsel's staff after spending one season as an assistant coach at NCAA Division II program West Virginia State.

Rager spent one season on the Yellow Jackets' staff, helping WVSU to a 29-14 record, including 25-7 in Mountain East play.

As a player, Rager played for three seasons at Morehead State before finishing her senior season at NCAA Division II member Carson-Newman.

A dangerous threat both in the circle and at the plate, Rager was selected to the All-OVC Newcomer Team as a freshman at Morehead State. The Elkview, West Virginia, native was also tabbed to the OVC All-Tournament Team, allowing just three runs across 19.1 innings.

Rager followed up with an equally strong sophomore campaign, garnering First Team All-OVC laurels after leading the Eagles in nearly every offensive category and making 18 appearances on the rubber.

After concluding her junior season, Rager transferred to Carson-Newman to finish out her career and did so to great success. In addition to pulling in NFCA Second Team All-American status, she was selected as the South Atlantic Conference Pitcher of the Year and was named First Team All-SAC.

Rager graduated from Carson-Newman in 2019 with a bachelor's degree in business administration and served as a graduate assistant with the Eagles before returning home to join the West Virginia State staff.
